Accommodation
Campers stay in on-site overnight housing designed for group living. These accommodations support community-building and shared responsibility, allowing campers to experience daily life together in a supervised setting.
Meals
Meals are included in the overnight camp experience. Campers receive all meals during their stay, allowing them to focus fully on camp activities without the need to plan or pack food.
Safety
Safety is supported through on-site emergency infrastructure and trained personnel. The camp maintains its own volunteer fire department, contributing to overall emergency preparedness.
Health & Medicine
Health care and medical supervision are a core part of camp operations. A doctor and a registered nurse are provided each week, ensuring professional medical care is available throughout camp sessions. Campers have access to a fully stocked First Aid station, with counselors available 24 hours a day.
There are two EMTs on call daily, adding an additional layer of emergency response capability. The presence of an on-site volunteer fire department further strengthens the camp’s readiness for emergencies.
For campers who take daily medications, a registered nurse administers them and ensures they are given correctly and consistently. Food allergies and other medical needs are managed through established camp procedures to help campers participate safely in camp life.
Camp Traditions
Camp traditions are a central part of the Hume Lake experience. Shared routines, group gatherings, and recurring activities help campers feel connected and grounded. Faith-based traditions play an important role in shaping daily life and reinforcing Christian values.
